JACEE Fell Down Two Times from the Stone

Little baby monkey Jacee, the precious newborn of mama Joyce, is still learning how to balance in her small, wobbly world. Only a few days old, her tiny limbs are still weak, her reflexes slow, and her curiosity stronger than her coordination. Today, she gave everyone quite a scare — not once, but twice — when she tumbled down from a stone while trying to move around near her mother.

In the early morning, as the sun cast its golden light over the temple grounds, Jacee was nestled beside Joyce. Mama monkey seemed tired, perhaps from days of sleepless care for her newborn. Jacee, full of innocent energy, began exploring her surroundings. A small stone slab nearby caught her attention — not too high, but high enough for a fragile newborn. With her unsteady feet, she tried to climb it. At first, she managed to get up halfway, her little hands gripping the surface with determination. But then — slip! Her back leg gave out and she slid down, bumping softly on the ground.

Thankfully, the fall wasn’t hard, but it was enough to make her squeal in surprise. Joyce rushed over immediately, gently picking her up and checking her all over. Jacee whimpered a bit but soon calmed down in her mama’s arms. A crowd of nearby monkeys and even some onlookers watched the moment with concern — this was a small monkey family everyone had come to adore.

But that wasn’t the end of her adventure. Just an hour later, after nursing and resting in Joyce’s arms, Jacee felt bold again. She wriggled free and waddled back to the same stone — almost like she was determined to conquer it this time. She placed her front paws on the rock and tried to pull herself up. For a brief moment, she stood on top, chest puffed out in victory. But before anyone could cheer, her balance gave way again. This time, she flipped slightly, falling backward and landing with a tiny thud on her side.

The second fall startled her more than the first. She didn’t cry, but her body froze, as if confused by what had just happened. Mama Joyce came to her again, this time holding her even tighter, licking her gently as a sign of comfort. Jacee clung to her mother’s chest, clearly shaken. She didn’t try to explore anymore after that — she just nestled close, finally realizing she might not be ready for climbing adventures yet.

Though her two little falls were harmless, they served as reminders of how fragile baby monkeys are in their first days of life. It also showed how important a mother’s love and protection are in helping them grow safely. Jacee will no doubt try again, because she’s already showing signs of strength and spirit.

Everyone watching cheered for her bravery — and admired Mama Joyce’s care. Little Jacee may have fallen twice today, but she got back up with love, proving that even the smallest monkeys have the biggest hearts.
